About us

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (Kenya) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit institution established to advance the understanding and development of tax policy and law through research, training & dissemination and sharing of knowledge. The goal is to support development of fair, sustainable and effective tax systems that support economic growth, reinforce revenue mobilization, spur innovation and enhance social equity.

The Institute also serves as a structured platform for professionals lawyers, accountants, economists, and other stakeholders interested in taxation to collaborate on research projects, share insights through seminars and publications, and contribute to informed tax policy discussions and engagement. Its diverse professional network ensures that tax policy discussions benefit from multiple perspectives and expertise.
